Manolo says, many of the internet friends of the Manolo they have been clamoring as they always do for the Manolo to find them the shoes of inexpensiveness. “Manolo,” they cry, “we wish to be super fantastic, but we have no moneeeeeys!”

The Manolo should post a health and safety warning when things like the cabbage description appear in the Shoe Blog. Right now thousands of co-workers, family, and people in the next study cube are running towards The Manolo’s readers, convinced that said readers are experiencing some sort of life-threatening laughter fit.
And who tipped off The Manolo about the sorry state of my brassica-based wardrobe?

The Manolo may not have heard about Overstock.com, which, after MUCH digging through pages and pages of hideous crimes committed against shoe design, one can come up with perhaps two superfantastic shoe deals at any given time (I did mention that one would have to DIG though.) Simple, practical, and elegantly superfantastic. Perfect for the office in which you must walk around a lot.
I, however, completely agree with saving one’s money to purchase shoes of breathtaking beauty and quality. You can make a latte at home, unlike a Blahnik.

Oh, and because I simply keep forgetting things lately, if you sort by price first, you can quickly see the deals on D&G, Fendi, Nicole Miller, and other quality designers first, as they’re usually the highest priced shoes on the site (you may have to start at the last page though, because the ugliest shoes tend to be the lowest priced as well.)

Oh, Manolo, us superfantastic women who are wide-feeted gnash our teeth in anguish at the spring-y, bon marche yet horribly narrow shoes. You taunt us with visions of the nicely-shod trim little tootsies that we of the wide feet know we can never attain. In vain do we search on zappos.com for the stylish yet inexpensive shoes that can be purchased in the D, or E or, yes, I will say it, the EE of the width.

As a poor girl who does not wish to ‘fake it til I make it’ and wear poorly make shoes that look expensive, I would also like to say that the 9 West makes great shoes. They are some of the most comfortable heels that I own. I can literally dance all night in my 9 Wests heels.
