We thank the Manolo for his tough love and will try to do better. Imagine how much worse things would be if the Manolo were not around to raise our standards! Maybe the glass it is really half-full.
Best weekend wishes to the Manolo!

I would love the Manolo to comment on the summer shoes to purchase for the man of the house. He suffers from the hobbit feet - wide, short and not too well arched. But I do like to humor the man and would love your suggestions.
BTW - I am still working up to the handknit section, but have squirreled away your suggestions there. My thanks again to the Mightly Manolo!!

Yes Manolo, I am afraid you are right.
My interenet friends and I are photomeme-ing our shoes at this very moment and I am certain that you would be very disappointed with us.

I am truly surprised such an atrocious item would even warrant comment from the great Manolo!

Oh my! How I thought Aussies were the only ones to do that!!! Shameless.

Socks with flipflops? Y’all are wimps. I blog in bare feet! Or Doc Martens. (OK, I lied about that last one, I don’t own a pair of Docs, but someday… and then I will wear them for extra special blogging.)

No, no no. The tabi, they are for the wearing of the Nike Rifts!!

Jonathan’s huge brain was clearly busy with other things, probably thinking lofty thoughts, when he put those flipflops on his stockinged feet. Unless he meant it as a subtle satire of the Birkenstocks-and-socks uniform of the opposition. It takes us weeks, sometimes, to determine whether he has something profound to impart to his followers or instead has just lost it.

Unless blogger-boy was also wearing a delicate and super-fantastic kimono, that look is too bogan to contemplate

Ah, but the Manolo he has become recognized as the authority on the good taste in the footwear and the style!!!!!!

The Manolo must never despair. Although men who wear this curious combination of athletic sock and sandal, they are legion, their chances of reproducing with a healthy, non-vision-impaired female are low, and therefore this aberration, it is destined to disappear in a few thousand years of natural selection.
