Urm, it was Mary Ann who was the country girl in gingham, no? The Ginger, she was the movie star who nowadays would be tripping around the desert island in the Jimmy Choos.

Unless it’s the episode where Ginger thinks she’s MaryAnn and MaryAnn thinks she Ginger….

Ayyyy! The Manolo’s knowledge of the pop culture it has failed him!
Many thanks for the correction.

No, the Manolo was correct! And so was the Olivia! The Mary Ann wore gingham, and the Ginger wore the movie star garb. …That is, except in the case that Carol mentioned.
And yes, these shoes are nice and sophisticated while still being on the casual side.

I love them, but I love gingham. I’d wear them with a white cotton dress and scarf and then go for a ride in my convertible. If I had a convertible.
Yes, Manolo is correct, Mary Ann was the “saint”. Ginger was the “slut”.
