AAAAAAAaaaaaahhhhh!
La BellaDonna says, “Give me those brocade flats!!!” It is a little frightening that she has the self-same fabric sitting in her workroom ….

Elizabeth says, the brocade flats, if they come in brown they must be worn by her sister, who is going to the grad in the lovely brocade Indian outfit.

How does one pronounce Constanca? I have long admired her shoes, but have not spread the word for fear of making a fool of myself.

You’re breaking my heart Manolo…and my bank account. Someday I will own every pair of blue shoes in the universe, especially those yummy slingbacks.

The Constanca it is pronounced “Constansa” . There should be the cedilla under the final “c”, but the Manolo he does not, as yet, know how to reproduce this.

I pass the Constança Basto store every week on my way to my writing class, and I linger at the shop window in horrible thrall every time. Those red sandals with the turquoise brooch are so boho fabulous.

Those are so very lovely, although I can already guess where that blue pair would cut into my poor wide feet.
(Psst, dearest Manolo: turn Num Lock on; hold down your ALT key while typing 135 on your numeric pad. This will print the ç. It is admittedly not elegant or easy to remember, but the code of the ASCII proved most useful when I was writing French papers in high school.)
