Or it is possible that the photographer was standing at a slightly higher elevation than the Lagerfeld (perhaps on a short flight of stairs) and chose for some reason to point the camera at the abdomen of the Lagerfeld, which unless he has an enormous potbelly is out-of-proportion too large for the rest of the man.
