Coco at the Costume Institute
Manolo says, it is no secret that the Manolo he has the “issues” with the current leadership at the Chanel, however, this it does not mean that the Manolo he does not love the Coco. Indeed the Manolo he adores the Coco, even as he laments what has happened to the brand in the recent years.
Sadly, the Manolo he has not yet been able to make it to the Costume Institute for the show of the Coco Chanel clothes. Happily for us, the Manolo’s internet friend, the Barney’s Girl, she has!

La BellaDonna, she does not care how much meanness is dished out towards the Chanel, who would undoubtedly be pleased that the evil that is the Lagerfeld is continuing to head her empire. In the lesser scale of the things, La BellaDonna, who has the bust and the hips, is annoyed that the Chanel prided herself on ushering in the androgynous look; in the greater scale of the things, La BellaDonna despises Chanel, who did not pay her mannequins the living wage, and when they protested, told them to take lovers. To take lovers for the financial survival, that is the prostitution. La BellaDonna despises the employer who makes it the necessity for her employees to survive that way. And in the greatest scale of the things, the Chanel, she was the active Nazi sympathizer and collaborator, which La BellaDonna finds unspeakable and unforgivable.

Saw it. Um. Got it out of my system. Yeah. Way out. Of my system. It was the KL quotes that got to me. They’re almost too easy to spoof.
