Wait, don’t say anything – the uggs… the man in the left hand corner (wearing a cowboy hat (!)) – this is Australia, right?
it is australia, i live here in the land of ugg, and it is. general pants is a big chain store here. but can’t say i have ever seen this on the morning commute
ok in case that didnt make any sense the shop that he is outside of is General Pants.
Hee hee, I was there today, you get some weird people on Pitt St Mall!
The attire is ridiculous, but the thighs are the yummy.
The Scarlett has a Clue: she is guessing it is General Pants with the Uggs in Australia. Only this wasn’t murder but a crime of fashion.
The correct response for Mildura Man may be bemused disgust, but nobody else in the picture is looking at the boots. He could be wearing bladder bags, and nobody would notice. Suit looks nice, what there is of it.
“Smell my jangly bits! Don’t they smell nice?”
I thought I had somthing clever to add but then I saw what the Baron said…..
The Annalucia, she wonders how long the man can hold that position before the legs go numb.
Somewhere, Gene Kelly is spinning in his grave.
Didn’t we see this guy in the Eurovision pics?
Wha…uh…General Pants…no pants…huh?
Crabbygal, you couldn’t be more on the money. Those legs are scrumptious!!!
Forget about the legs, I’m just struck by this guy’s pose. This is one you usually don’t see without a fire hydrant close by.
The male figure skaters, is this what they do during the off-season?
The Tia wonders why this little elf is wearing a tie.
Oh my I am so glad there to see so many other Aussies read the Manolo! I agree with Crabbygal and Cordelia, the legs are touchable, and the sourpuss in the background is obviously not gay. As far as uggs go, they should not leave the house.
The Uggs are still rather popular here in LA, and a stupider trend than Uggs with shorts or a short skirt I can’t remember. I’ve even seen them worn on the beach. They are appropriate aprés-ski boots, for teenagers MAYBE. Yes, I know “they’re comfortable”, but nevertheless appropriately named….ugg.
The only thing wrong with this picture, as far as I can see, is that this guy has obviously left his frayed denim micro-mini from Abercrombie and Fitch at home. Sadly, in San Francisco and surrounding suburbs, the UGG is madly popular amongst teenage girls who wear them in the winter with above-mentioned micro-mini to “keep warm”.
*scratches head*
Say no to the Ugg … but say yes to the finely chiseled legs!
As Janice Dickinson said about them on ANTM, Cycle 3: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. They’re over.”
it’s abhorrent to know that uggs+you call that a skirt really is a trend outside of where i live (i don’t get out much, tragically). said locale is the pacific northwest of the u.s, and though i loathe the look – i understand the theory of it in our particular climate.
for the record though, the only boots that i’ll pair with a skirt are cute, comfy vintage ones that don’t look like i recycled a stuffed animal and hasitily made “boots.”
ps . . . . mmmm the legs.
ugg’s are lovely and nice and warm and cosy why is everyone getting the hump over some boots ,get over it . just try a pair and you will soon understand why alot of people are wearing them . The world is crazy wether people are wearing 12 inch heels that could kill your feet or these flat comfortable boots ,the world is still complaining . Worry over something that is worth complaining about!……..
