Comfortable in His Celebrity

Manolo says, the Manolo’s internet friend the Catherine she has reported back to the Manolo about her evening in the presence of the greatness.

The charity event was a great success.

David Hasselhoff could not have been more gracious and giving to the charity (Make-A-Wish). He spent much time talking with people, posing for pictures (like the one I’ve sent you….the one with he and I came out very blurry…the woman taking the photo for me was smashed!). He whipped up enthusiasm for the auction and I can’t tell you how impressed I was with his graciousness and unselfish behavior. Definitely not the usual asshole-ish behavior I’ve seen by other “celebrities” at these events. He looked very good, his wife was equally gracious and he helped our organization raise much more money than we could have without him there.

So, my shoe is off to him! Super fantastic!

Manolo says, super fantastic indeed!

Look here is the picture of the mighty Hasselhoff that the Catherine she has sent to the Manolo.

Thank you, dear Manolo….! It was indeed a great event. Thank you for posting the link to the Make-A-Wish Foundaton. It is a wonderfully optimistic charity that focuses on helping a very sick child receive a wish that will help them remember what it is to be a kid again. My daughter received a “wish” three years ago and it meant so much to her (and I) to see her smile and laugh while riding her horse at a super fantastic dude ranch! I would do anything for this organization and I would encourage all your super fantastic friends who read this blog to consider foregoing the beautiful pair of the Manolos just this once and make a generous donation….their shoe money could send a little boy or girl a very special wish.
Thank you, the most generous, super fantastic Manolo for your post on the super fantastic night with the Hasselhoff!!!

The Camera is also a big fan of Make A Wish. A good friend had a son the same age as #1-Son, who was attacked at three years of age by a nasty evil brain tumor that burrowed into his brain stem and could not ever be completely removed. Make a Wish sent their whole family to Disney World so this little boy could have a whole week of nothing but fun before the tumor killed him. A rather large and very nice change from his multiple months-long stays at UCLA Med Center…

The Camera is so moved by Make A Wish that she almost forgot to ask: What shoes did Catherine the Great wear?
