The Ugly Dress
Manolo says, if you have not visited the website called Ugly Dress you have indeed not seen dozens of pictures of the most spectacular brides and maids of the brides dresses of hideousness ever.
It even has the part devoted to the ugly shoes. (Of the course, for the true wedding shoes of ugliness (at the high prices) one must visit the Peter Fox.)
P.S. Many thanks to the Manolo’s internet friend the Lori for this most amusing link.

Goodness!
From the first pic I assumed the Ugly Dress site wasn’t solely about ugly bridesmaid dresses, but ugly bridesmaids as well.

Actually? That girl’s face has been ‘shopped, I’d bet a sawbuck on it. I visited that site a while ago, and the girl with the beer in the peach dress was a grinning redhead. Guess she didn’t want the bride to happen upon that picture.
Anyway, it’s a terrific site — I knew the Manolo would love it!

I have found a pair of truly revolutionary shoes. I believe the Hindus will be torching the designer of these desecrations, one Mr. Minelli, at any moment.
Manolo–
Go see and tell us if these are mob-worthy:

When I was shopping for wedding shoes, a dear friend whose opinion I usually respect told me that Peter Fox had the best shoes. After perusing Mr. Fox’s offerings, I concluded that his philosophy must be that 1) brides want expensive shoes, and 2) no one is going to see the damn things anyway under that dress.

Ayyyy! I took a look at the Peter Fox as a curious bride-to-be. Even the website itself oozes ugliness. I at the very least expected such offensive shoes to be in the “Payless” price range…but I was even MORE horrified when I clicked on a pair of uniquely awful white satin platforms and saw a price tag $305. What the ….? Who is this “Fox” and how dare he make women have expensively ugly clad feets on their special day!

Those Peter Fox shoes look like the platform sandals targeted towards teenage girls. As a grown woman, I don’t need my formal shoes to both jack up my height so much that I am taller than my date and be available as a weapon for stomping out roaches. I’m just saying.
Re: the ugly dress site: love it. Have always loved it. Will always love it.

Yes, the Peter Fox shoes are not so attractive. There are many of the horrible platforms.
However, I wore some simple ones for my wedding. The heel was low, and the comfort of the shoes was divine. Besides, with the long, heavy dress with the beads, no one looked at my happy feet.

Are there any photos of The Runaway Bride’s dresses? (I’m thinking antebellum).
