Ah! I had those ’80s black leather pilgrim booties! Shut up, it was the ’80s. I loved them so. Thank you for the blast from the past, Manolo.
Why couldn’t someone with bigger feet have bought those elf boots? I am sad.
Crushed. The Giabella, she is crushed that the 1950s Juliano Stilettos are made for the girls with the small feets.
When the Annalucia thinks “vintage,” she thinks of the clothes from the 1930s and ’40s. When she sees the shoes that she is old enough to remember (the 1970s and ’80s) and did not much like in the first place, she emits a great sigh.
However she must award many style points to the designer who thought to call his boot the “Francois Villon.”
Aiiiyyyy!! The Tia loves the Maud Frizon elf boots!
Aiiiyyy! La BellaDonna, she too loves the Maud Frizon elf boots! Worse yet, La BellaDonna, she sometimes wears the 38, but sometimes she can wear the 37.5, but she needs to remember that if she does not try the shoes on, she may wind up with the size 37.5 lovely paperweight. :(
Maybe La BellaDonna should content herself with the green suede buckled elf boots she already has, since they are virtually identical, except for the green suede buckle on the front …
(La BellaDonna invites the Annalucia to join her for tea in the Tar Pits, to discuss the shoes they bought back in the Jurassic …)
The Tia can wear the 37.5 elf boots, but only if the Tia were to knock of a bank. $205 for the shoes of the 1980 vintage is too steep for the Tia — she can only dream.
May the Tia join LaBellaDonna and the Annalucia in the Tar Pits? She will bring the sandwiches of the cucumber and the watercress. The Tia recalls her very own pair of white go-go boots dating from the era of the Mary Quant Mesozoic.
La BellaDonna is very happy to have the Tia join me and the Annalucia in the Tar Pits! La BellaDonna, she will bring the scones and the clotted cream, and the *whimpers* of anguish. La BellaDonna has long been a collector of vintage fashion; but she did not realize that she was growing it in her own closets.
