Steve Madden - Mohawk (Black Suede) - Women's

Manolo says, as hard as it may be to be believed, sometimes the Manolo he misses the development of the fashion trend. Such it was the case with the Steve Madden Mohawk in the black suede, which the cool New York City school girls they are wearing this summer with their little skirts and t-shirts.

Sad to say, this it had escaped the notice of the Manolo until one of his many friends had pointed it out to him. The Manolo, he was indeed most chagrined to be out “shoed” in such the manner.

However, the dignity it was somewhat recovered when the Manolo told his friend that the rhinestone buckles on the vamp, they are what makes this shoe of the moment.

and The Manolo is in favor of this shoe? Blackbird feels that this shoe may be the Ugg of the summer. True, it is salvaged, somewhat, by the rhinestones…

Manolo, it is okay, from time to time, if you turn away from the ugly fashion news. This shoe is hideous and clearly the prank of one mean girl trickling down to all the followers. Like a prank from the likes of the girls in Heathers or Mean Girls. Is a trick really newsworthy? Not always.

The Manolo he failed to make clear that he believes that this shoe, like the Ugg, it is suitable for the wearing only if you are the bopper of teenyness.

That is one cute schoolgirl shoe. It is sort of Japanese-goth-lolita and NYC-brat at the same time. I don’t want to see my boss wearing it, but for cool NYC schoolgirls it is a fine mixture of shiny, serious, and sensible, with a sense of humor. The Manolo is right: without the rhinestone buckle, it would be just another ugly flat.

It is much better than the habit the children had last year of wearing the cheap Indian suede moccassin with the beading on the vamp, which one child of my acquaintance informed me was the height of 7th grade fashion. Also, the child told me that socks were to be cuffed down so that the top of the sock-cuff was only barely visible above shoe. When I said, Why wear socks at all? I got an eyeroll, since I clearly understood nothing.

i’d better not see a 40 year old in those things; i cannot promise i to control my reaction.

Why does the Manolo approve of this shoe, and not the rhinestone-clad Birkenstock clog of the velvet? The nod owns the green ones, and wears them often. They are most superfantastic!
