    Manolo, please help – for I am confused. I observe these sandals of splendor, but I do not see how they are to beworn.

    Is the curly bit meant to twine itself around the ankle, like some sort of hyperactive shiny leather pea tendril, or is it meant to burst out in an unrestrained coil, like the business end of a 1950s era toy ray gun?

    Rotangus, the description of the shoe mentions “wraparound reinforced ankle strap” (although I did like the retro simile).

    Damn you, Manolo … you tempt me yet again with a shoe in my size. At least my Achilles heel will be wearing a stylish sandal!

    Ah, the Tia is not tempted by this shoe because it’s heel is too high, but she loves the idea of a “hyperactive shiny leather pea tendril.”

    I just bought a pair of sandals frem Rene Caovilla that look very similar to the ones posted. They are very expensive, I know, but I just had to buy them…
