I do like Madonna's outfit in this picture....There was a picture in the same article of Vogue where she's wearing a teal suit and gorgeous shoes. I think they are Miu Miu. Does anyone konw anything about them? I would love some more information. Thanks.

Umm, are we supposed to really believe she feeds her chickens in that gown? Or feeds anything to anyone? She has servants to do that! kathy ireland -kmart -brand - wearing servants to feed the chickens, the kids, her husband and her staff.

I wouldnt mind her wealth though. A country estate would be nice.

It's a lovely picture; but I have a sneaky feeling that she's feeding those chickens rat poison. She looks a bit TOO gleeful...

If the tattoo and small nose piercing I have closes Wall Street Journal doors to me, then all I have to say is, "SWEET!"

Meow, people.

And if you don't want to get a tattoo (I don't have one, it would hurt too much), then don't get one.

Lori, I agree with you on the tattoo issue. Why immediately close doors? If you feel you must get a tattoo, do so discretely.

I went to a lecture given by director John Waters a few years ago. He predicted that tattoo removal will be a huge business in the future. Why? Nothing looks more tired on old skin than a tattoo. Don't think so? Ask an old sailor to hoist his shirt.

Honestly, I have to agree with those that see nothing wrong with the picture. Didn't even recognize it was Madonna, I even liked her outfit.

Maven, may I add you to my mental list of respectable tattooed grownups? Being tattooed doesn’t make one unworthy of respect. But it may make it harder to convince others of that fact. As you observe, people have stereotypes. Why? We have to size people up when we do not have the time or ability to research their backgrounds. I remember when tattoos were associated with bikers, rebels and rock bands. At the CPA firm where I work, our 50-year-old clients don’t want their taxes done by someone who reminds them of the Hell’s Angels, and so the man absolutely won’t hire someone with an obvious tattoo. An article in the Wall Street Journal a year or two ago quoted several business owners who had the same policy. Getting a prominent tattoo may close some doors for a person.
