I spent this morning in a pair of the cutest-ever Calderone wedge slides, also with a 3.5 inch heel, and by the time I got back from the party I'd gone to (which involved walking a block each way from the subway, and sitting on the train) I was hobbling and sobbing. After much soaking in Epsom salts and an afternoon spent in comfy supportive New Balances, I'm still not completely comfortable. Why is this? I love these little wedges (both the wedges of the Manolo and my own Wedges Of Pain) but I will have to pass on them, and pass them on, if there isn't a solution. Am I the only one who finds the wedges less comfortable to walk in than a heel of similar height?
