The Kelly is talented and wealthy but I suppose she does not employ a stylist to warn her of her Oompa Loompa legs in those unflattering pants. I’ll send her an email and tell her to wear long pants and shoes next time.

The gown she wore earlier in the program was most flattering though. I suppose she felt the need to balance it out with this awful number. It’s still better than the gypsy sheik stuff she has worn in the last few videos though.

i object, in general, to capris and all other forms of partial pant-ing (hyphenated to clarify that i am not opposed to heavy breathing). they are an abomination even on the tall skinny legged women. they demonstrate a half-assed commitment to pants on the one hand (or leg), and shorts on the other.
to kelly and her ridiculously unflattering pants, i say, make up your mind!

If the Manolo is referring to her alleged “muffin top,” he really needs to get his eyes checked. There’s not an ounce of flab on that girl’s stomach. Quit trying to intimate that she can’t wear this or that; it’s getting old!

The Bis Nation thinks the Manalo was making a statement about a smaller, not as pointedly obvious (but still there) muffin top. Sure, she looks more toned than previously, but I’m not sure that the midriff (especially paired with those scary pants and NO SHOES!) was exactly the way to go, is the statement.

This, in contrast to the previous outfit shown on Manolo’s blog, does not have pants that are too tight, to the contrary, the pants are too loose! This reader despises the gaucho pant/capri trend and wishes that Ms. Clarkson would not merge this trend with a punk rocker/military cargo look to, obviously, disastrous, stumpy results.
However, “Muffin Top Pop Tart” is fun to say. Manolo has a gift for the funny titles.

Hmm. Are you saying she has a muffin top as in the last photo you posted that caused so much furor (as your entry title would imply)? Because I don’t see it here. Not only does her stomach look flat as a board, the pants are so loose around the waist that there is nothing but a smooth line on her sides.
If you’re just saying the pants are fugly, then I totally agree.

The Norma suspects that the Manolo secretly enjoys provoking the ire of the very humorless yet amusing fans of the Kelly, and so he tosses in the gratuituous teasing of the “muffin top” in order to get their little mouths a-frothing. Regarding the general hatred of the cropped pant, the Norma would upon reflection tend to agree, with one important exception: they looked cute on Audrey Hepburn. However, if an item of clothing needs Audrey Hepburn to be wearing it in order to appear at all appealing, it must indeed be lacking in attractiveness in general, as La Hepburn she is the Halley’s Comet of stylishness and grace, whose like will not appear again in my lifetime. (Remember this, feckless ingenue whose manager tries to pitch you as the next Audrey. They are lying, and you are a vacuumhead.)

Ayyyyyyy! The Scarlett saw the crack whore-get up of the Jessica Simpson (well put, by the way, Cat). The ‘evening-shorts’ combined with the uncovered back displaying a presumably expensive bra was way, way too much for my eyes. She’s a cute girl that should be easy to dress … much like la Clarkson. Why is it so difficult to put together a nice ensemble when designers are basically throwing frocks at them?

The Lady wishes that she were as beautiful & talented as la Clarkson and la Simpson to have designers throw the lovely frocks at her….although the Lady wouldn’t dare go out in public with the bra showing anywheres. I agree with the Norma – the Audrey Hepburn IS “the Halley’s Comet of stylishness & grace.” Ah, to be as beautiful as the Audrey…and to have the “muffin top” of the Kelly Clarkson *smile*

Oh, she was terrible, just terrible. Why on earth would MTV have someone as trivial and flash-in-the-pan-y as Kelly “American I-DON’T” Clarkson perform last?? There was all that hubbub about Gwen Stefani not having been invited to perform…they should have gotten her to close the show. She would have been much better than Shoeless Joe dancing around in the fake rain and pretending to sing.

I think the no shoes had something to do with the downpour of water that came down upon her during the performance. But even then, some nice Chuck Taylors would have prevented her from the slipping on the ass onstage.

Ok…maybe a lil bit late to start commenting here since the last post was what? last year?! Anyway, i saw Kelly on stage last night, and she has a fnatastic voice and has such control. Now the majority of you are knocking her style. People, there are so many people who don’t care…that girl is hot…and the bare-feet, and the short pants…still hot!

I have seen her on other presentations and she’s got a flat belly, she’s only thick boned and usually this type of bodies get fat way easier than the rest, so I imagine, she does have to fight harder to remain slim, but no matter how slim she gets, she will always look thick because of her bone structure, but that’s not fat. That’s why her waist line looks big, it’s thickness only. On the other hand, for the reason I already explained, she should’ve known better than that, because, loose capri pants are one of the major enemies for her body type, they make her look HUGE AND SHORT, the shorter you are (or look) the heavier you’ll appear to the eye. They cut her visually, simply, the look is a mess.
