Good to know that the author is happy with the movie - Weiner is a wonderful writer and I have read all of her books. I just have a hard time imagining Cameron Diaz playing a character who honestly does some pretty horrible things to her sister…

Manolo have you read the book “In Her Shoes”? Jennifer Weiner is a fairly good author from the Philly area, and now the book has made it into film with Cameron Diaz (no doubt desecrating the lovely beach book original)…

It is a beautiful shoes, yes, but the heel height of three and one-half inches! Does the Manolo not realize that not every woman can walk in a heel of such height? The Annalucia, even when she was thirty years younger and forty pounds lighter in weight, could not walk comfortably in a shoe with a heel of more than two inches. If she tried it today she would cause her feet great pain and look very foolish besides.

The Annalucia hopes that one day the designers will help us to “defy the convention, and the staid and stultifying rules of the mob” in a heel height of two inches or lower. In the meantime she will keep wearing her black pumps of German manufacture.
