The Manolo’s recent adventure in the Philadelphia it has inspired the Manolo to read about the Ben Franklin. Yes, you know that the Ben Franklin he was the American genius, worthy of our admiration and emulation, but perhaps you did not know that the Ben Franklin he invented the Kiteboarding?

I recently read an excellent biography of Ben Franklin that you might want to check out, if you’re not already Franklined out. It’s called “The First American”.
Kite boarding you say? I would’ve had more respect for him if it had been windsurfing, because as we all know, that is the true sport of real intellectual watersport enthusiast.
Uncle Ben is a fave of mine, too… I highly recommend, “Fart Proudly,” which is a compilation of Franklin’s stuff… good times!
AskMom, she has friends nearby to Paris who claim with some credibility to be descended from the Ben’s time in France , and they are witty, charming and smart enough to make it seem likely. So very sad that children today receive so sketchy an introduction to this quirky and amazing man.
