I must also suggest the semi-recent autobiography of Mr. Caetano Veloso, >! the rock n roll side of brazilian music! and he is quite the intellectual as well.
The smooth sounds of Bebel Gilberto will provide the backdrop for the dreamy dinner at my wedding…She is SO superfantastic.
And on the wedding tip, can we have an update on the Manolo for the Brides site? Perhaps on some shoes that would go with a champagne colored wedding dress?
(other than these, which I ADORE, but cannot afford: http://www.shoeblogs.com/wordpress/2005/07/28/floral/#comments)
may i also suggest reading the war of the end of the world by mario vargas llosa… it’s about the same incident in brazil. it’s one of my very favorite books– totally incredible.
You are always reading the eclectic interesting books. Might I recommend the latest by David Rakoff entitled “Don’t Get Too Comfortable”. In one of his essays, he details his trip to Paris for fashion week. He has a description of the evil one that you might enjoy!

You are always reading the eclectic interesting books. Might I recommend the latest by David Rakoff entitled “Don’t Get Too Comfortable”. In one of his essays, he details his trip to Paris for fashion week. He has a description of the evil one that you might enjoy!
