The Many Faces of Galliano!

You are looking at me, am I not magnificent and seductive?

Now I will look back… Full Seduction!

At last, I am filled with disdain for you and your looking ways. Yet, is my disdain, in its own right, not also seductive?

P.S. Manolo says, nothing cheers the Manolo like the visit from the funky little fashion troll, John Galliano.

Ah, you cheered me, too, the Manolo. But forgive me if for a moment I thought we were looking at The Jesse “The Body” Ventura, who shares, with the fashion troll, some impossibly high ideals with some extraterrestrial physical presentation.

    Funky indeed.

  3. Mimi October 5, 2005 at 10:22 am #

The Manolo, he has outdone himself on this one, especially with the hidden captions. Thank you, Manolo, for being so good at making us laugh.

Looks more like Brett Michaels from Poison to me What is worse, bad 80′s or imitating them? :D

  5. Zsa October 5, 2005 at 11:00 am #

I would like to know where Galliano gets his nails done!

  6. Zoe October 5, 2005 at 11:20 am #

I see these pictures, and two words overwhelmingly come to mind: Drag King.

The Galliano style persona has all the makings of a very cool transitional drag king act — I know I’d tip big, if s/he can dance and lip-synch with any skill! S/he’d sure be a refreshing change from the “drag king as dumpy hip-hop boi” schtick so common in kings!

And so I say: King Galliano! Shake it! Here’s a $20!

    LOL!!!

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

  8. Mary October 5, 2005 at 11:23 am #

Manolo, I think I love you. This made my whole day.

  9. Gidget Bananas October 5, 2005 at 11:48 am #

The Galliano, he could give the catwalk lessons to the hopeless little girls on the America’s Next Top Model show, could he not?

  10. The Bloody Munchkin October 5, 2005 at 12:26 pm #

    “LOL!!!

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. ”

How dare you tarnish Inigo’s image by tieing him to that, that unholy union between Brett Micheals and George Micheal in the “Faith” Video. It seems so wrong somehow.

The John Galliano always makes me smile. I toast him for always rocking the amusing facial hair.

  12. Lili October 5, 2005 at 1:01 pm #

This looks like an unholy cross of Brett Michaels and Captain Jack Sparrow, with a healthy dose of Lea Deleria thrown in. Spooky…

this made my day. I can just hear the thick Fabio accent.

  13. Mahgwet October 5, 2005 at 1:38 pm #

The Manolo is pulling the mahgwet’s chubby leg. This must in truth be a female model with the painted-on facial hair, no? And no body hair at all on the sylph-like arms? This is the joke of the pre-Halloween? Yes? Please?

  14. CrankyBiscuit October 5, 2005 at 2:36 pm #

John Galliano: Many faces, all crazy.

  15. The Scarlett October 5, 2005 at 2:45 pm #

He’s sporting a full-on Axl Rose. Where do we go now, sweet troll of mine?

  16. Kourtney October 5, 2005 at 4:13 pm #

Ah, what a divine example of the principle: if you are convinced of your own fabulousness, then the rest of reality will percieve you as fabulous.

  17. shoelover October 5, 2005 at 5:33 pm #

Did somebody put Fabio in the dryer?

  18. JayKay October 5, 2005 at 5:44 pm #

“I can’t beeeeeleeeve its not botter!”
I do love the funky little fashion troll that is John Galliano. He is too much.
Thank you, Manolo, for the hidden captions! =D
Thanks also to all who posted a comment. The “Inigo Montoya” comment almost made me lose it!

  19. willow October 5, 2005 at 5:58 pm #

“Did somebody put Fabio in the dryer?”

You people crack me the hell up. :)

    That is all.

  20. Kristin October 5, 2005 at 6:11 pm #

So that’s not Axel Rose then?

  21. Ryno October 5, 2005 at 6:21 pm #

The hidden captions are awesome! Hey, I think this guy has something figured out. He’s doing the “Somebody pissed in my cornflakes” thing with his eyes, similar to many same age female models. For that matter, he seems to be using the same eye liner, too. It might look even sillier on him, but hey, it goes with his physique and he’s making a LOT more money than I ever will.

Dang. Anytime somebody needs the “aging polish gangster” look just call me.

  22. BeckyJ October 5, 2005 at 7:11 pm #

The love child of Axl Rose & Bret Michaels?

  23. Mimi October 5, 2005 at 8:35 pm #

” Did somebody put Fabio in the dryer? ”

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Thank you, Shoelover. Lots of funny things were written here, but your words made me laugh as hard as the Manolo’s did.

  24. Spirit Fingers October 5, 2005 at 11:37 pm #

That would probably be considered “conservative” by Galliano’s standards. Strangely, his hair still looks healthier than Donatella’s does.

  25. madame l. October 6, 2005 at 7:07 am #

galliano has always been an asshats.

  26. dhyana rose October 6, 2005 at 8:24 am #

    … galliano anytime !!!

  27. El Capitan October 6, 2005 at 1:56 pm #

El Capitan, he is reminded by the pictures of the Galliano of these immortal lines from the Trey Parker movie “Orgazmo”:

Maxxx Orbison: What’s your name, again?
    Sancho: I am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: Look, I get a lot of people auditioning all the time. What makes you think that you’d be good enough for porno?
    Sancho: I am Sancho.
Maxxx Orbison: Great… but what do you do?
Sancho: What do I do? I am Sancho.
    Maxxx Orbison: And…?
Sancho: And there are many Jeffs in the world, and many Toms as well. But I… am Sancho.
    Maxxx Orbison: And…?
Sancho: Are you Sancho? No you are not. Neither is Scott Baio Sancho. Frank Gifford is not Sancho. But I…
    Maxxx Orbison: You… are Sancho!
    Sancho: That’s right.

El Capitan, he will now forever refer to the Galliano as “Sancho”

  28. Negi October 6, 2005 at 2:43 pm #

The Galliano (whose Blue Steel rivals Derek Zoolander’s) always reminds me of what would happen if the Pirates of Penzance went on shore leave at Fire Island.

  29. Sue October 7, 2005 at 7:39 am #

Its wrong on so many levels

  30. Kate October 7, 2005 at 12:33 pm #

Thank you Zoe for that magnificently apt term, “drag king.” How have I lived this long with it?

Of course, “fashion troll,” is also exquisitely useful, but one expects these carefully hand tooled phrases from the artisan that is the Manolo.
