Manolo says, Ayyyyyy! There are so many of the things that are wrong with this boot, not the least of the which is the price.

I’m sorry, are they really made of veloiur? VELOIUR?!?!?! Good gravy!
    Heinous.

Sweet Mother of God those are wrong. These are boots that were expressly designed for the woman with more money than taste. (Sorry, Cher.)

The five-inch heel – this tells the Annalucia that these boots are not made to be walked in; they are made to be worn standing still while posing for the cameras of the paparazzi. The price tag makes her wonder if it is being marketed to the ladies who charge as much for a single evening of their company.

I think the character Adriana from the Sopranos, she would be quite taken with this boot.

Would you call them “cloots” or “boologs”? (Since blogs has been taken.) And not even real suede? With what appears to be a detatchable collar? For almost 3K?? There are not enough question marks in the world for this.

Does the price include a contribution to one’s IRA?

The Elvira, she might buy them for 1% of the listed price just to look in her closet occasionally and laugh.

    I. Do. Not. Understand. Shudder.

From an artistic view the are nice ………….but everyday reality YUCK

  9. Gidget Bananas October 14, 2005 at 12:50 pm #

Those boots, they are the perfect thing for a dominatrix who caters to men with the fetish for the Hussar of the Austrian Empire. The Gidget suspects that is a narrow specialty.

But they are so very perfect for the Stevie Nicks.

Joey says the Stevie Nicks could be buried with these boots on–solving multiple problems at one time.

  12. Miachelle October 14, 2005 at 4:04 pm #

    Stevie would NOT wear those!

And, these make me think of some porno movie involving pirates! (Note to Jenna Jameson….)

Just what the well-dressed mistress of the oligarch is wearing this season.

  14. zippy October 14, 2005 at 7:13 pm #

When the Zippy saw these boots, she was open-mouthed in amazement at just how badly a designer work can go wrong when they are left by themselves for too long. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear… The price? She shook her head, sighed, then raised her eyebrows looking heavenward, (as if God could help this disaster…)

I really like the embroidery, though.

  16. Camera Obscura October 15, 2005 at 11:41 pm #

The Camera is pleased to announce that even if she should take permanent leave of her senses and desire to buy these Things, they do not come small enough for her footsies.

The Camera is also fairly sure that if she should be taking that much leave of her senses, she should also be removing herself from the population voluntarily.

But the comment about the dominatrix of those with Hussar fetishes was much enjoyed.

I saw these on their home website before I saw them here – thank you for validating my reaction, I thought maybe I just didn’t get it.

I also loved the embroidery, though, the rest of this boot looks like the designer was plating the footwear equivalent of Mad Libs.
