Whoa. Blackbird is right; words cannot describe the perfection of those shoes.
Sir, excellent suggestion in your WaPo Express column this morning.

Stunning.
Don’t you want to pretend to be the real Manolo and take credit for that? Wow.

Am I the ONLY person who hates the Manolo mary janes??? Look at them! What a perfectly nice classic pump ruined by a functionless strap that does nothing but make your feet look bigger. I wish the consumer market would come out of their Sex and the City-induced fog and realize that mary janes are for children, not adult women, however whimsical they may feel themselves to be.

gosh, i love those shoes. every woman should have a pair! i’m taking a road trip from baltimore to ny to pick them up…

OMG… those are some GORGEOUS shoes!

Orgasmic.

I must respectfully disagree with anonymous, who, for fear of backlash, did not post their name. Manolo Mary Janes are FABULOUS. I admit that some mary janes, by inferior designers, DO accentuate the size of the foot. But if the shoe is well made, a perfectly placed strap will highlight the arch of the foot… thus making the mary jane a desirable design.
And I love these ones…

I couldn’t agree more. These shoes are perfect. PERFECT. And I don’t even wear girlie shoes all that often, being a tomboy boot girl.
But I also agree with the Manolo on all the boots I’ve seen featured here so far.

These are the perfection of the shoes. I will sit here and drool, since I cannot purchase.

La BellaDonna does not dispute the heartrending excellence of the shoes; she merely sighs, and shifts to stand in her low-heeled boots next to the Annalucia. She agrees with the Marcia; in both application and principle, the Mary Jane strap has its purpose. La BellaDonna, who has the long, narrow, high-arched foot shaped like the chisel, with the extra-narrow heel, would walk out of the pumps without the straps, causing bodily harm and, if she were wearing the Manolo Blahnik pumps, almost certain death.

The Fausta, she sighs and realizes she’s on a Cole Haan budget.

The Zippy is smiling at a stunning shoe.

Dear Jackie: no need to travel to NYC to purchase these (unless, of course, you’re looking for an excuse for a fashion weekend, which I fully support). As long as you know your Manolo size (probably 1/2 size up from your normal size), you can simply call the store (212.582.3007), give them a credit card number, and they’ll ship them to you.

OMG! This one actually sent chills down my spine! I just love him, he’s perfect!
