Manolo in the Guardian
Manolo says, today there is the very short and the very cryptic mention of the Manolo in the Guardian newspaper.
The best thing about Manolo’s Shoe Blog (Shoeblogs.com) is how the author constantly refers to himself as “the Manolo”.
The Manolo he would argue that there are other things about the Manolo’s humble shoe blog that are better than this, but, nonetheless, he will take these words as the compliment.

I would have to second the Manolo’s statement about the Manolo’s Shoeblog. However, the article from which the odd quote emerges hardly qualifies as an article, after all. It’s rather, um, bereft of content, as it were.

The Annalucia thinks that the dreary folk at the Guardian are attempting to be flippant and perhaps witty. She also thinks that they do not succeed on either count.

The writer from the Guardian, he is probably amused by the Hispanic tendency to use the article ‘the’ much more often than in English, including before the proper names.
That said, the article, it is insubstantial indeed.
