*another sigh*

The Janjan, like the the Susan she has very large feet. (11 1/2 or 12, depending on the cut and style). Also well-muscled calves.

Quite often, the Janjan she resigns herself to the same tired clogs and boots from the Eddie Bauer or the Clarks. When will top name designers figure out that large feet don't have to be unattractive feet? I suppose it's like asking when designers will start designing for women larger than a size 4.

11 1/2.

I would love to have a boot fetish. Truly. But if Manolo spent time looking for these in my size he would have found a 100 honest men first.

Sad for me, I have a 10 1/2 size foot and I am a well muscled girl with a large calf. I love the tall boots, but they never fit my legs even if they come in my shoe size. The best I can manage is a boot-styled shoe that stops at the ankle or just above. I wish someone would make boots with a stretch leg.

Hot boots! LOVE this style.
My personal boots of this type are the Bondgirl boots by Fluevog. I wonder what the Manolo thinks of those?

For me the tough, round toe and sturdy looking sole are critical. I feel fearless in the city when I wear these.

La BellaDonna, it is not the Badgley Mishka I was seeking to identify, but thanks for identifying them nonetheless, as they are most gorgeous! And most of all you are right about possibilities and endlessness. This is the definition of good boots, as all good things, in my own humble view.

Is it that the Annie is referring to the Badgley Mischka? If not, La BellaDonna is totally at the loss ... especially as the Badgley Mischka are two very fine but American designers, whose work entrances La BellaDonna.

As La BellaDonna, she seldom wears the trousers or jeans, and therefore would not presume to make the bifurcated recommendation to the Tia Nieve. However, La BellaDonna, she is almost always wearing the boots, and the skirts or dresses with them. The young ladies (the twenty-five or unders), they are maybe wearing the black tights and the miniskirts with the boots; for the rest, La BellaDonna recommends, inter alia: the long straight skirt with a back slit, in corduroy, for an autumnal feeling; in khaki, for a transitional summer-to-autumn or winter-to-spring feeling; in a long A-line white wool, for a dramatic winter flavor; an olive twill A-line, suitable year-round; with a long tiered velvet peasant skirt, for a bohemian feeling; with a black bias chiffon, for an edgy feeling; a long black velvet straight skirt, with back slit (what La BellaDonna is wearing with her boots today); a tailored coatdress, for a funky office look; a grey suit, ditto; denim, in its many, many permutations - perhaps a mermaid skirt, for something a little different ...

The possibilities, they are endless.
