Just thought you’d be pleased to know that Manolo Blahnik came in at no. 2 on Forbes’ list of most influential fashion designers.

Yes, but what about the women with the large-sized WIDE feet? Why do shoe manufacturers think women with wide feet above size 10 do not care about fashion? That is definitely NOT the case.
That brings up the dearth of wide shoe sizes for women in general… Men often have a choice of various shoe widths so their shoes fit properly — why can’t women?
If I had a dime for every woman I saw whose feet were too wide for the shoes they were wearing, I’d be rich enough to start my own shoe company!
Bring on the stylish shoes in longer, wider sizes!

I just read the column of the Manolo in the Express, and I wanted to thank the Manolo for not laughing at today’s letter-writing. Like Anonymous above, I have the large-sized wide feet, and the amount of flak I get for it (and for my shoe choice, which is, shall we say… constrained) gets tiring.
Go Manolo!
