Just a comment for those looking for boots with a wide/narrow calf and/or shoe. I also have toothpick legs (am not as thin as a model) and have been looking for a good pair of boots to wear with skirts for YEARS. I live in Chicago....boots are a must for the winter. I realize Weitzman, Pliner, Manolo and Choo make boots for the thinner calf and foot....and I have tried on many pairs of each. However, I'll be honest by saying "I can't afford shoes by those designers at this point in my life" All that said....I recently found a website for a semi-custom boot maker call Duo Boots. I have ordered multiple pairs over the past month and ended up keeping two....a knee high brown with a 6 cm heel and a black riding boot with a 3 cm heel. The quality of the leather is quite good and (I think) they look more expensive than they actually were. The have a large range of shoe sizes and calf sizes from 30-50 cm. Seriously...I have bird legs, pencil legs, whatever you want to call them, and the first pair I ordered was too small in the calf. Lastly, the customer service is great answering questions about the fit of the boot (wide vs. narrow ankle, wide vs. narrow shoe last, etc). Skipping down Michigan Avenue in a cute skirt and boots has been rather liberating....lol

Beggar the shoe width - give me some boots with narrow calf width - I'm sick of looking like a farmer wearing wellies and I'm not as thin as a model! How do these models get boots to fit their calves when they probably have big shoe sizes? By the way - my legs are as hairy as a sasquatch if that's any consolation !

Actually Manolo, how about a woman such as my mother...she has a size 5-6, depending on the maker, and has an extremely narrow foot. Unusual for a woman who is 5'11". (She also has 36" inseam, and very long arms...needless to say, she hates shopping with a passion.)

My poor mama, she needs the help!

Does anyone else want, "We have indeed become the race of the Sasquatches!" on a Manolo shirt? Because the Marta definitely does!

Those ladies have big narrow feet? Wow. I just thought I was a sasquatch. At a size 10 with narrow feet, I always wondered at so much unfairness of shoes. My feet don't look big, but when you're looking for strappy pretty sandals -- which is my vice -- you might as well stay home. I often get painful blisters when I walk in new shoes, because I don't sort through old-lady shoes for the narrow size.

As a narrow-footed girl, please do not wish for the narrow feets! Finding the pretty shoes that fit is next to impossible! I daily praise the Nordstrom for carrying so many shoes in narrow, but even those are often not narrow enough - I end up having to put heel grippers in them so my feet don't come out every time I take a step.

Still, a better solution than buying shoes two sizes too small because that was where the width was right, something I've done more than once, to my shame.

These Leeana boots are gorgeous. Time to start pinching pennies, I suppose!

At a respectable 8.5 wide, I have always dreamed of having the longer, narrower feets. Sigh.

Manolo,

You rock my world... or shall I say,

My world is rocked by THE MANOLO!

Keep changing the world, one great accessory at a time.
