How perfect is this book for the upcoming holidays? I have a friend who actually displays her beloved Manolo’s on her coffee table…Maybe she’ll be able to wear the book :-))))

The lilacs crowding the purple shoe just make me smile. I grew up in the Wisconsin wherein the lilacs actually grow. As opposed to the Houston where I am now.
The purple shoe is just smile-making. Got to get the book.

Alas, in my haste to post a comment, I stopped reading the Manolo’s comments after one sentence, then wrote my own, and now that I return to his comments, I find that I duplicated one of the Manolo’s wonderful words, ‘tableau!’ Perhaps I will ignore the fact that I copycatted and console myself with the fact that great minds think alike.

I saw this book featured in one of the many fashion magazines to which I subscribe, and I was taken by the beauty and inventiveness of the images. I really loved how the photographer demonstrated so completely that he ‘got’ the essence of the shoes by creating an incredibly perfect, whimsical tableau for each shoe. C’est mignon!
