Summer on the Sale

Manolo says, the weather outside it is becoming increasingly dreary, but here on the internets it can still be the summer, especially if you are searching for the super fantastic summery shoes at the deep discount.

For the example, here are the two pairs of the shoes with the seashell accents from the Hollywould that are available at the most wonderful, sunshiney prices.

This one, in the color of the coral, it is 67% off of the usual price, the saving of nearly $300 of the American dollars.

This slingback is it not pretty in the summery aqua? Even the better, is selling for less than $85 of the American dollars, the reduction of over 80%.

Yes, it is gloomy now, but trust the Manolo the summer it will be here soon enough, and you will ready, smug in the knowledge that you have obtained the perfect shoes on the cheap.

Manolo, twice now I have gone to check out a superfantastic shoe you have talked about and twice they have had only one left in my size, therefore assuring me it was karma for me to have these shoes. First it was the Cynthia Rowley’s (http://www.shoeblogs.com/wordpress/2005/02/04/cynthia-rowley-on-the-sale/) and now these gorgeous Hollywould slingbacks in the brown. Bless you Manolo! (My bank account doesn’t exactly bless you, but it’s an ornery, stingy old thing anyway)

That lovely, Tiffany blue is perfect. I appreciate it in its summer shoe form, especially with a foot of snow, and more falling. We in the northern climes need the sweet relief of lovely summer shoes in beautiful colors. Thanks, M.

Wait… these shoes look like Payless brand shoes died to match the beach-wedding bridesmaid dresses and the night of the drunken bachorlette party the girls decided to glue on the bits and pieces of seashells they found in their hair after romping about the sand with random men from the bars. In other words, I think they are tacky.

But The Manolo, how can we know what summery shoes will still look crisp and fresh next summer next to offerings that will be current for the new season? Colors come and go, flashing before us like fireflies. This coral, this ice blue - will they go with next season’s clothes, or will we be unable to match them? What IS a frugal girl with a taste for fun to do, if that sense of fun isn’t covered by the classics?

  5. La BellaDonna Says:

La BellaDonna says hola to the Rotangus, who seems to be the very sensible and frugal girl. La BellaDonna suggests that the Rotangus should check her closet; did the sensible and frugal Rotangus purchase anything this season that would go with the coral and the ice blue? She will surely be amortizing the superfantastic purchases by wearing them next year, yes? And the chic shoe, it is never out of style (the fashion, it is sometimes the other matter).

If the garments of the coral and the ice blue did not appeal to the Rotangus this year, La BellaDonna reminds the Rotangus that these colours of the shoes in the coral and the ice blue, they will both go with: black; white; yellow; red (the shoes of the coral with the dress of the red makes the unexpected, yet vivid touch); green (the green of the grass would work well with the blue or the coral; the green of the mint or the lime with the coral also); blue (of the sky or of the navy); beige; ecru; straw; brown. Not so much the pink, the violet, or the lavender, in the opinion of La BellaDonna; but the field, it is wide without them, is it not? The coral, it will travel especially well, from the spring into the autumn, whereas the ice blue, it is more the spring and summer colour (again, in the opinion of La BellaDonna only). The anemic nudes and beiges touted for the spring of 2006, they would be much cheerier with the dab of coral upon the feets!

  7. Esther Says:

I would sell my furniture for these shoes.
