If “Gracie” escapes the house while in heat and becomes pregnant from a chance encounter, will we be seeing the first doggie divorce and custody battle? Such foolishness…
If I could ever solidly classify something as a sin against a sacriment, that would be it. ^_^
I mean, $1200??! On animals? To me, that seems the equivalent of holding a $1200 tea-party for Ken and Barbie’s 40th wedding anniversary.
Self-indulgence at its worst.
La BellaDonna, she also says “HAH!” with the JayKay and the Annalucia and the AnimeJune. She suggests that the $1200 would be better spent at the Beverly Feldman, or even directly to the Animal Haven Shelter.
She not only says the “HAH!” but shakes her head and adds the “TSK.”
I think this is something that could only work with dogs. Every time I try to dress my cat in a little shirt and booties for Halloween or Christmas he runs like hell.
Pugs are very sweet little dogs, but formal clothing does bring out their special kind of beauty. I can’t think of any clothing that would, except maybe a plaid jacket on a really cold day.
As shmarollynn says “faces only a mother could love”. And I am obviously NOT their mother, because I think they are quite ugly little faces. (Perhaps personality makes up for the lack of looks?) Smushed-in faced dogs hold no appeal to me, sadly.
To me they both look like they’re thinking “My, don’t we look silly” but pugs tend to look like that in any case. A friend has pugs, and they’re lovely, sweet-natured dogs, but bloody funny-looking.

To Annalucia: TOTALLY! HA! :D
People who do this kind of thing to their pets clearly have more money than brains…

The dogs are cute, though….^_^

The Deja loves her pooch as another member of the family, yet agrees with the “more money than sense” sentiment. Pure silliness.

I can definitely think of better ways to spend 1200 smackers.
And those are faces only a mother could love, I’m afraid.

It’s an adorable photo, but I agree: the money would have been better spent as a donation to the Humane Society.

Huh, and some people are up at arms over the possibility of certain humans getting married. But this they won’t protest.
