Peep-Toe Wednesday
Manolo says, here for the working girl Wednesday is the stunning ankle-strap peep-toe shoe from the Marc Jacobs. You must look closely to see that the upper and the heel quarter they are covered with the hundreds of the little beads!
Like the best of the shoes of the Marc Jacobs, this shoe it is fun, and flirty, and does not take itself too seriously.
By the way, this shoe, it is also on the sale, nearly 40% off of the regular price.

Ooh I love the beading. These truly are superfantastic shoes, Manolo!

Oh great. Caviare shoes.

So lovely. So not in my size. Woe is me, and my average size feet.

The Annalucia, she has got to stop clicking on Manolo’s “On the Sale” links. As soon as she sees the “three and three-quarter-inch heels” she begins to have the severe pains in the ankles.

I love, love, love peep toes!!

Ooh, la la! I really like. but i have the same problem as miss tanya, only on a bit of a larger scale. i’ll be 6′3 in 3″ heels. so, i guess i will stick to loving from a distance and not make myself look like a drag queen.

I don’t like these shoes, but they bring up the question.
Like mocha soul, I’m 6′, and dislike wearing any heels over 2.25”.
Anything over that, and I feel just plain menacing, very dominatrixish.
Or like a drag queen. Not to mention how my poor feets feel.
But so many very, very beautiful shoes have the too high heel!
Can you have some of the heel chopped off reasonably?
Oh shoe experts, do you know?!! Dear Manolo, please tell us about the
feasible shoe alterations.

Christmas Shopper says he love’s your blog.
He linked to it last week in his Ladies Boutique section.

“for the working girl”? This girl, is she working as the girl of the casino show, or is she the socialite celebutant? The feets of the real working girl doing the real work would say “aaaaaayyy!!!” if in the heels of that height for the 7.5 hours.

Chop off the heels indeed. HAH.
You would wreck both the lovely arch (and thus render them LESS comfortable) and ruin the beautiful proportions.
Truly they are lovely caviar shoes but what kind of working girl is wearing the beaded shoes?

Question – am heading to arctic Europe and the blustery US this winter (from tropical climes) and I have some Marc Jacobs peeptoes of my owns.
Admittedly – they are the bow wedges

Are the pairing of peep-toe wedges and black opaque stockings a fashion crime?
I was hoping I might be able to pull off a kind of jaunty, haphazard designer librarian look

I agree with those commenting on the dubious “working girl” title of these shoes. As a non-hooker, if I wore these — or any peep-toe shoes, frankly — to my office job, I’d be laughed out of the building.
Like Mocha Soul and Tinka, I, too, am a 6′0″ woman. So for me, wearing these shoes would be seen as a desperate cry for the wrong kind of attention. Never mind the fact that *I’d* be crying before lunchtime over my poor, poor feets!

You don’t wear them to work silly girls, you wear them on the date with the handsome gentleman or the pretty lady (whatever your preference may be). I took “working girl” to mean “on the budget.”
November 10th, 2005 at 3:07 pm
Well, for this “working girl,” for $200, I should be able to wear them to work!

To kat and her Northern Winter dilema
I am currently living in the subarctic London, and can tell you that you can wear your tights and peeptoes here with reckless abandon, and be very ‘now’. I can’t speak for the states, but you will be a very stylish tourist in the London. May I suggest though, for even more fashionableness, to pair the beautiful peeptoes with tights in chocolate brown, navy or mulberry rather than black. London is currently awash with all black outifts, with coloured accessories.

Hi Kiki from London. Thanks for the update on what’s happening abroad!
In the past, I have suggested to the Manolo that perhaps it would be a good addition to the site to have a place where people who are traveling can go to exchange information on what is “in” at their destination. And for those not traveling, it would at the least be very interesting reading!
Anyone know of any web places such as I describe?
