It is not just the craftsmanship and great materials. I remember a gentleman who went to a starting shoe maker who claimed to be able to make a pair of shoes that would fit his feet exactly. And they did. Only the feet don't stay exactly. They felt fine when he tried them on. But as he wore them they became miserable toward the end of a day.
