They have no treads. None. They are like riding boots. One teensy tiny patch of ice and it's all over! The search continues. I'll be in jeans and boots for the next four months, and not the super fantastic boots of the cowboy either (those have a smooth leather sole perfect for death spiralling along the icy sidewalk). The ugly boots of the snow hiker or the less ugly but still not so cute lace up boots with the chunky heel. Both of which look fine with jeans but not much else....Perhaps an email to Manolo... is in order." Thank you for always anticipating the need of the girl wishing to be super fantastic.
