tiptoe LOVES the Wildties website. She would wear zee wild ones if she were a man. She thinks she might wear the eyeball one anyhow. She will buy her son a medical one or two even though she knows the son will hate the ties as he came out conservative. tiptoe, she finds the Gonorrhea tie over the top even for her. *creepy*

The son thinks she's a crazy ole woman as she's looking for Cole Haan G Series Hagen Celeste (metallic) tenny shoes and the L.A.M.B. Gwen Stefani Gold Love Sneakers. The tiptoe knows that the Hagen's hardly exist now, but it gives meaning to her life to hunt them down, especially the pink with zee silver ones. She will find the cheapest price for the Gwen with gold. Crazy shoe people at eBay are asking $100.00 more than the L.A.M.B. Gwen site.

This tiptoe, she appreciates the design and workwomanship of stiletto, pointy minus a toe shoes Manolo loves. But she can not and will not toddle around in ankle breaking shoes minus a little toe.

tiptoe, she loves the Manolo and doesn't drop by often enough.

When watching movies from the 70's, I wonder what the people were thinking when they picked out such awful ties. I think we have the answer. Was the last design someone's idea of the 'whimsical trip of a still-wet Jackson Pollack painting through a florist's shop'?

La BellaDonna's dear father was most difficult to buy for; he worked in advertising, and was a man of decided and fashion-forward taste. And so, one year, the young La BellaDonna, she scoured the many vintage shops, buying from them the most beautiful, most high-quality ties she could find as the gift for her father. The time came, as it always does, to wrap the gift, so La BellaDonna found the box in the nearest size to fit the beautiful ties. The box, it was a trifle large, so La BellaDonna carefully put packing around the ties, and happily wrapped the box and its treasures.

On Christmas day, La BellaDonna's father opened his pretty package, and looked at La BellaDonna with total bemusement, and it took La BellaDonna a moment to realize why he was so puzzled. The only box La BellaDonna could find was the large box which said "Kleenex," and she had carefully packed the ties with the fluffy white tissues! She started to laugh, and her father, he kept pulling. The tissues, they came out, and then one after another, the beautiful silk ties in the colours of the rainbow, and the box, it was the only joke among them.

Should I become a father someday, I plan on always keeping a simple black tie in my glove compartment or my desk so I can switch out any ugly ties I get from my loved ones.

I used to work for Fortune 100 company that had an "Ugly Tie" contest every year. The company newspaper had a fun story about it one year. The 60-year-old winner claimed that he forgot about the contest ... but he really wanted to be in it. So he went over to a young co-worker and asked to borrow his tie. The older man won the Ugly Tie contest with the borrowed tie. The young tie-owner was reportedly miffed that an entire committee thought he showed poor taste in ties.
