But…is it ok to wear stockings with peep toes (providing they’re very sheer and don’t have reinforced toes or toe seams, of course)? Or is it better to forgo stockings, even though it’s winter?

I’m betting Manolo will say you can wear stockings with open toe shoes as long as they don’t have seams. I’m pretty sure that red shoes and blue legs don’t go very well together.
