Hola to the Urban Chick, and a word on the Botox. The Botox, it merely paralyzes, which is why it was initially used medically to treat the ceaseless tick of the eyelid. It also wears off. The look of permanent astonishment, it is caused by the more drastic treatment of the brow lift, which is the surgical treatment which does not wear off.

aha, the urban chick, she is thanking the belladonna for the wisdom about the surgical enhancement techniques

Manolo’s photo captions (the ones that pop up when you hold your mouse arrow over the photo) crack me up!
“Not the good ham either, but the fake kind made with pig’s ears”

Hi Manolo, I hope you can read this and have time to respond to my question because it’s really bothering me. I’m looking at a cute pair of Camper boots on Ebay and the seller writes that Camper is a division of Doc Marten. I totally believe that it can’t be true, and couldn’t find a lot of information when I googled the names together (which I see as more evidence for my argument). I’ll admit that the Spanish Camper brand is a little hit-and-miss, but the hits are just so beautiful, and I can delight in the insanity of their misses. I can’t believe that they would be in league with clunky, wannabe punk laceups like Doc Martens. Am I wrong? Was Camper bought out? I really want to know, because I’m a little obsessive and can’t stand to be wrong about something like this! If you don’t know, that’s ok, but you were the first expert to come to mind!

Double Ham and Cheese?
Was that a cheap shot?

Elizabeth says . . . well said. Astute, even.

Ack! I’m a fossil…
Just a glimpse of Chip and Dale is enuff to ignite my inner-punk, and, so — One-two-three-four — the desertwind must challenge Susan’s categorization of Doc Martens as “wannabe punk laceups”.

If there any Jewish girls out there despairing of ever meeting a nice Jewish boy, here is an idea

when i first saw the title of this post and the picture, i thought you were going to make reference to a “hero sandwich.” ham and cheese is so much more fitting. one might have even suggested bologna and turkey (hold the mayo).

That’s bologna with American cheese on white bread. And as a new reader, may I say from the bottom of my heart that I love the Manolo who blogs the shoes, especially the commentary on the Project Runway.
