Oh, about I am Fashion, I also predicted something similar with ruffled blouses. And I made a post about stockings in the Fall! I am so glad they are in!

I put up my post on this topic, this evening. So late, but worked hard on. :-)

Moi, many here give good suggestions as to low and flats. Me, I love the kitten heel, and the flats that look like slices of ice cream or candy. One must shop for them without purpose...sort of a koan...if you actually look for them, all you will find are the high and higher heels...

Well, while I decide a name on a name for my new blog, here are my personal predictions for men's fashion in 2006

I agree that purple will be the new it color for 2006. In spring, it will of course be a lighter lavender that is preferred.

Ties may become narrower as we continue to look to the eighties for inspiration. A return of paisleys is likely. I'm liking this <a HREF="http://www.forzieri.com/usa/product_view.asp?l=usa&c=usa&dept_id=1&pf_id=dg01025%2D040&id_valore1=&id_valore2=&id_valore3=&id_valore4=&id_valore5=" rel="nofollow">copper paisley tie from Dolce & Gabbana</a> as an example.

The peak lapel suit will have a long awaited resurrection. This of course means that the lean towards more formal dress will continue. The white shirt will regain preference over pastel colors and men will also start looking towards <a HREF="http://www.forzieri.com/usa/product_view.asp?l=usa&c=usa&pf_id=bg40145%2D002&dept_id=68&id_valore1=&id_valore2=&id_valore3=&id_valore4=172&id_valore5=" rel="nofollow">even, monochromatic stripes.</a>

The purple craze will continue into fall, and so brown may gain more popularity as a neutral preference.

That is all I will write. Forgive me, Manolo, for hogging the comment box.

Heavy Sigh. Ah, the supercalifragilistique heels, they are not for Moi, not after the foot surgery. There is no hope for those of us who cannot wear the ultra heels. Not this year. Nor will I ever be able to stomach Ugglywear.

What's a femme to do?

La Retrosessuale wishes to qualify her predictions by noting that the curvy, bouncy, bosomy girls was never out of fashion -- nor were the naturally slim and angular girls. In fact, the curvies and the pointies, the bouncies and the taut, never go out of style! Alas, the most vociferous members of the fashion industry treat the genes like the jeans, designing as though the womens could trade in their figures for whatever the designers declare is au courant.

As the curvy, bouncy, bosomy girlygirl, La Retrosessuale has come to laaaahv her curvies, her bouncies and even her bosomies, and adorns them all appropriately. So whether you is the Twiggy or the Jaynie, so long as you is healthy the beauties will come naturally. The fashions is only the icing on the cake. Manolo il Magnifico is absolutely correct for praising the Miuccia for long espousing this philosophy!
