All Hail the Queen!
Manolo says, here are the shoes of the Queen Latifah. Yes, they are ever so slightly too small for her Majesticness, but are they not beautiful? And the color of the shoes, they are perfect for her marvelous skin tone.

One year ago, the Manolo he wrote about how to be both fat and super fantastic. And, now here is the big woman who knows exactly how to do this. Happily, for the Queen Latifah, she has had wisdom to take the excellent advice from the Susan Moses, the former big girl model who is now the genius of style.
This it is one of the great fashion stories of the age, how the Queen Latifah was transformed from the ill-dressed hip-hopper into the beautiful and glamorous movie star while still keeping her very natural shape.

Ouch indeed, but those feet go with the tightly drawn facial lines. Even in the ads for her new fragrance SJP looks skinny, sunken and drawn. One suspects that she is mostly skin and bones.
Seeing fat oozing over the straps of the too small strappy sandals – fat feet – blech.
Doesn’t the KaraSaun sometimes design for the Queen Latifah?
I think Latifah looks great from the ankles up, but those tight ankle-strap shoes make me wince with vicarious pain. Ouch! And the double strap displays her ankle just where it happens to be thickest. Wouldn’t some nice sling-backs be more flattering?
The Queen is also clearly the lady that knows how to coordinate. I love the green top with the green print with the gold… it looks so lush and warm and springtime!
The Annalucia agrees with the JJ; Latifah knows her colors and wears them well. She is a pleasure to look upon in this photo (though the gold shoes should have been a little less tight, and perhaps a little lower in the heel).
Didn’t Chris Rock do a routine about fat women stuffing their fat feet into shoes like rising loaves of bread? Her Majesty is not that bad, but her dough is rising.
Dana Owens is nice-looking lady, but she is suffering from some Hilton-toe-hang. Still, nice colors and very much comfortable with herself.
But she is a thousand times better than Star Jones [the extra-large Star or the new improved (?) Star] on any day…

The Queen has the nice feet, in my opinion. I am more troubled by the fact that her toes stick out slightly beyond the edge of her beautiful sandals. But she is a beautiful woman and has a great sense of style overall.
I think that Queen is such a beautiful woman and I’m glad the Mr. Manolo has enbraces and celebrated her style and her size. Good for you! Not everyone wants to look like a super thin coke whore with collar bones and hip bones sticking out everywhere.
i’m glad to see the queen looking so glamorous as well and for the manolo to be so supportive. as one who has sasquatch feet just like the queen i’m wondering if one of the reasons why her shoes are small is that she has trouble finding her size. of course she could afford to have them custom made. eh.. who knows.
The Queen is a gorgeous, glamorous woman. Yes, the shoes they are too small, and the toe overhang is a big no-no in the Deja’s book. Still, she looks better than most of us on our best day.
Nasty toe or heel overhang syndrome must be avoided at all costs. That just looks painful. Otherwise, The Queen looks marvelous.
The E! online Fashion Rejects did not agree with the Manolo in regards to Queen Latifa being super-fantastic, “Queen Latifah may be getting a star on the Walk of Fame, but she has also earned a major slap on the wrist. Is that a sequin hula skirt, or some flapper gear taken from the set of Chicago? A simple pair of pants would have been a much savvier option. Mama Morton, we sentence you to solitary confinement so you can reflect on your fashion faux pas.” They’re just jealous.
It’s so refreshing to see a beautiful actress who also looks like a real person. The fact she’s from Jersey is the icing on the cake!
I like the skirt- and I love the wrap top- and i agree with the charolette allan that slingbacks would have been more flattering for the queen.
If La Latifa had worn a shoe one size bigger, she would have gotten an A+ from me. I think the heel height is lovely on her (makes the calves look much leaner!), the color is beautiful (less contrast means a longer line!) and even the ankle straps don’t bother me. That toe overhang takes her down a half a grade to an A-.
Proof positive that there is hope for all of us.
HRM, The Latifah, now is poised to come out of the closet as she has come out of the fashion closet, no?
