kara's skating outfit was the best... i can imagine her outfit on ice it would rock
so much techniques and detailed..
this is sasha cohen- preppy abercrombie skater.. what the hell did you expect

i thought the exactly same thing when michael kors mentioned santino's figure skater dress was somewhat festive thanksgiving theme

it was basically skating turkey dress.. really...

God, 2 words: Alexei Urmanov. Oh hell, all of the Russian/Soviet Figure skating teams in the years between 1980 and 1995!

"Perhaps they should have used ballet dancers instead of models for this show. "

Ballet dancers aren't built like figure skaters. We're much more in equilibrium in legs and body shape in general. I hated those stupid poses they tried to pull behind the screen (that came out as a silhouette).

Everyone SO knew Santino was not going to get kicked out. He's just that guy that you love to hate. And for the record, while I didn't love Santino's outfit, it could have SO been used for a production of Stravinsky's "Firebird," NOT "Rite of Spring!" I did see where he got that poofy thing from b/c if you can imagine her spiraling (technical term for one leg in air, gliding across ice), it would be like a fire.

How could no one realise that she has big thighs that needs to be covered up? I usually love Chloe but that dress looked like it could have been on the sale rack @ Forever 21.

And I hate Sasha Cohen. Michelle Kwan fo' lyfe b!tches!

Project Runway has become such a bore so very quickly. Firstly, the judges are all so wrong. Who really cares about designers like Michael Kors or magezines like ELLE. As a young student of fashion we are more concerned with the wave of designers that speak to our generation As Four we love, Zac Posen we adore, Mal Sirrah we worship, Proenza Schouler we cherrish, and Catherine Malandrino we desire. We read mags like Nylon, America and Dutch. We don't care about ELLE. Perhaps if they got rid of some of those silly judges the show might actually be interesting especially to the generation of the future.

Gah! The only reason Santino can POSSIBLY be still on is that he's a font of drama-queenism! Emmett's was a costume I could actually see a skater in. Zulema's--one false jump and everything's out in the open...!

Emmett vs. Santino? The judges hate boring and bland more than over the top and snotty. Goodnight, Bland Hat Guy. I was pulling for you.

Did darling Daniel use his Chocolate Brown Spandex he bought by mistake for Nicky Hilton for his skating costume and just spend $150 on rhinestones?

I am glad I'm not the only one who really liked Nick's design. He has quickly become my frontrunner, although Daniel V. is up there, too. I have to say I am so so disappointed in Santino. During the first couple of episodes I thought he was a sure winner. Then I thought he was this season's Austin Scarlett. But he is no Austin Scarlett (how I miss that gentle boy), he is just bad attitude and bad hair and bad designs masquerading as "directional" or "conceptual" because of the insane amounts of embellishments. It's like an overwhelming sauce on a bad piece of meat!

Santino needs to go.

I agree--I can't believe Santino is still in, and that Emmett is out. I'm still mourning the loss of Diana. (though I didn't think that she would get to fashion week, I just enjoyed her presence.)

My gut reaction as soon as Nick's came out was "CUTE! So cute." He should have been the winner, considering that's the main word you would use to describe a petite figure skater. Then Chloe's came out, and I also said "CUTE!". I was sure those were the two contenders, and was sorely disappointed when Nick was summarily dismissed from the runway.

From the previews, when the judges were describing an outfit as being "vulgar", I thought they HAD to be talking about Zulema's outfit, which seemed vulgar to me (nude boobie coverings notwithstanding). Imagine my shock when we find out that they were actually talking about Emmett's costume. Poor guy, to be sent home in that horrible pink shirt – which backs up my previous assertion that they only put him on there to have a little fun at the expense of a menswear designer.

This episode proves to me beyond doubt that the producers have proclaimed Santino off-limits unless he -- I don't know -- murder someone? How else could he survive the lingerie challenge and this one when his stuff was clearly the worst. Funny that exec producer Heidi talks tough and says "I'm ready to give Santino my auf wiedersehn." Right, Heidi. Who makes better TV, Santino or Emmet?
