Their designer duds may be one or two season back, but most of their shoes are the same stuff you're going to find at department stores right now. They buy so much more product that the department stores do that they get it at a much cheaper price and are able to pass their discounts on to the customer. Also, they don't have 400% markups like department stores have. The best deals to be found are in their clearance racks. Actually, DSW carries mostly in season product. I have found many pairs of Anne Klein shoes @ TJMaxx-type stores around here, though, and they’re always beautiful, joyously comfortable and incredibly well-made. My trophy: a pair of deep purple pointy pumps w/a small gold buckle for $1.99. (Of course, I bought them several years ago, before they were actually “in style.” Takes about 3 years for things to catch up ’round here…)
