I hope that Rachel’s coarse language is not repeated in comments by her or by any other readers. If that kind of language by commenters continues, I may decide to read The Manolo only and skip the reader comments entirely. I would rather not have to do that, though, because the reader comments are so often such fun.

The double-breasted coat definitely has its place…which I think at this point is in the military. I much prefer the more modern three button blazers, especially the one we sell at my place of employment—Not an Armani, but beautiful anyway.

Is anyone else finding this odd? (Not to offend here, I don’t know if anyone doesn’t want to mention it.) Diana had been so classy looking for the most part, known for her brilliant, ornate gowns and sophisticated suits…Do I need to go further with the comparison? I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings…

HRH should have gone with the single-breasted coat. A double-breasted jacket left unbuttoned can look very unkempt. That aside, he looks properly dressed for the occasion.

As for Camilla…..

Rachel, your choice of adjectives is rather coarse, and while HRH is entitled to have carnal relations with whomever he chooses, he should have the decency to at least send Camilla off to the Miuccia for some proper attire. The Duchess’ entire outfit, from the too-low neckline to the ‘orrible shoes, should be burned.

And I believe that the current rules say that she cannot be the Queen.

Brilliant rollover! Camilla looks like the stock character of the poor relation. The scariest thing is their lives do sometimes read like an out-of-control Agatha Christie story. It is that I trust the daper genious to point this out to us!

While Camilla might not strike the fancy of the fashionistas, she looks fuckable, which is probalby a novelty for the royals. She’s here, she’s going to be Queen, get used to it.
He’s not my cup of nectar, but he’s had a shitty life, so let’s not begrudge him a bit of crumpet.

The Manolo would no doubt look super fantastic indeed, whatever his choice! I suspect however he would accessorize himself with a much more stylish female companion.

And the Lisa is most correct in her observation regarding the Dutchess and her usual lack of properly fitting underpinnings..

I’m not sure I would say Camilla looks particularly dowdy, just awfully ordinary for someone who could be spending a lot of money on more spectacular clothing. Her outfit looks just like something my mother and any number of her friends would wear to the monthly DAR luncheon. I kind of like the skirt, but the polka dots need to go.
