Oh, shiloh , this idea of musclular calves not looking good in wedges is totally silly! I absolutly LOVE stong powerful legs and ankles in wedges, mid heels, tall stillettos, or whatever else you like. It's not the shoe, dear, it's all about you loving yourself in them. Not doubts your powerful legs in those shoes would look BEAUTIFUL! .....Cheers!

And each would rather have the others...ahh what I wouldn't give for the calves like sticks. Give thank la petite chou chou, that from the knees down you are not mistaken for the weight lifter on steroids like I am.

And speaking of calves....what about those of us who have practically NO calf definition. Then a wedge may have the effect of making the leg appear stick-like.

Sound advice on the Dr. Sholls. Yes...actually, they really might help this one pair I have that are particularly, horrifyingly painful---indeed so painful I can't wear them across the street to the supermarket. (They are super-fantastic light pink suede with a dainty little ribbon; 3 inch heels from hell.) And to think THOSE were the shoes I chose to walk me down the streets of New York!

And I agree. What is the point of life on flats? Every day I tear up over my loafer shoes because, working in fashion, one would think I'd do some really great shoes---alas. How does one go about losing feeling in the feet without serious nerve damage? I've oft thought of kitten heels. Haven't found one I adore yet.

Sigh.

Oh Yeah!!!

One problem, though. Tiny straps dig in. Love to see something as shapely, colorful, and pretty, with a wider strap across. But then, I probably couldn't afford it anyway. It's always fun to try, though.

What will the fashionable girls with the calves of muscularity do? The wedges are not flattering to us moreso when ankle straps are involved.

Oooh, la petite chou chou: I bought some fab Dr. Scholl's ball-of-foot inserts the other day, and they're actually rendering some of my shoes wearable for the first time in...a long time. They're a gel insert that stays in place well but isn't permanently stuck, so you can move them from one pair of shoes to another. They also make them in heel and whole-foot versions. And they're only about $6! They may save your poor feet...

well, not really, but is sometimes seems that way- do you try the kitten heels though? they can be just as elegant and beautiful
