In her rusty Vlaams, the desertwind thinks the Belgians are saying:
Manolo – no, not the real Manolo Blahnik, idol of Carrie in SATC – hands out tips about super fantastic shoes in his shoe blog. He speaks in a lively fashion–dialect all his own and makes correspondingly philosophical points such as: “The fashion it is not the nuclear rocket brain surgery”. Many nice snapshots of stars and lots of lovely shoes. And here we come to the point! Manolo loves the shoes! And so do we.
The Manolo sets the mark very high for other bloggers. Although he has a share of the limelight that is remarkable, he keeps his attention outward, not inward.
A blogger in the far-off mountains of the Appalachians has only to mention the Manolo as a model to be observed and perhaps emulated, and the Manolo hears about it. Furthermore, he even acknowledges it!
From this comes more power than money can buy.
Long live the Manolo, and may he prosper accordingly. He wields the power of blog wisely and generously.
