The Mouse Shoe

Mouse Slingback by Marc Jacobs Click!

Manolo says, yes, this shoe it is from the Marc Jacobs, and yes, is the logical and ridiculous extension of the Marc Jacobs original’s mouse shoe.

And thus you see how it is possible to cross the line from the witty to the obvious. Yes, the shoe above it is cute, but it is cute in the “Super Kawaii” manner favored by the girls of the Harajuku.

The original mouse shoes of the Marc Jacobs they were clever and intelligent, they made the allusions; these shoes, they giggle at their own joke.

OMG … I LOVE the original mouse shoes! As you said, the original were clever and intelligent … and I think humourous too.

That is the cutest little mouse face ever! I want to buy them just so I can put them on my desk – kind of like a stuffed animal.

    Dumbest. Shoes. Ever.

  6. samida Says:

Cute to look at, but odd to wear. I might wear them if they had a high heel!

  7. Victor Says:

Yes, they’re a joke, but I think there are circumstances where they’d be fun–a good summer party at a good friends house (of course, being a guy, *I* could never wear them–at least, not with pants :~) ).

I also think my pet rats would enjoy them, but for all the wrong reasons.

I want to punch them, they are so cute!

  9. Daisy Says:

There is the cute of the stuffed animal, and the cute of the shoes. I wish to humbly offer the opinion that these should not be the same thing.

  10. Ronikins Says:

This mousy mouse should have gone the way of its predecessor, and included the kitten heel. Meow! Squeek!

I’m pretty sure my friends buy those for their babies and toddlers. But they come from a place called Robeez:

Manolo Comments On the Mouse Shoe

Was Marc Jacobs serious when he designed this shoe or is there a market for this type of mouse shoe somewhere?  Quite clever and cute, but no thanks…

  15. Ama Says:

I want them! I want them a lot! So cute!

  16. Bunny Says:

These are so silly and adorable. Not my usual style at all but I bought them anyway. They look really cute but you do have to avoid a Harajuku look.

  17. Perja Says:

Bought them and wore them for the first time last night. They’re quite cute and comfy. If you’re not particularly concerned that people stare at your feet, they’re a fun thing.

so cute! when i had to have them when i first saw them and i’m serious! they’re so unique. i threw them on with a pair of plum colored gauchos and a black ella moss top. much to my surprise, i got so many comments about how cute the shoes were and questions about where they can be bought. smiles, too cute…

I have the black ones, and I love them! They aren’t super obvious when you are wearing them!
