Certainly they stop the heart with their irredeemable ugliness. As it happens, the Ten Plagues are also available in chocolate, from the catalog of ``The Source for Everything Jewish''. La fannypie is correct! I DO have eleven plagues. Out of the deep dark depths of my subconsious, I must have added "Wild Beasts" to the litany of plagues. Look at it this way -- the eleventh plague is actually a reference to the manymany of La Retrosessuale's relatives, known in Yiddish as vilde chaya, who descend upon the dinner table and pick the carcasses clean. Are these people blind and/or insane? Maybe the commenters were hired by the manufacturer to give the shoes good reviews. I can't imagine anyone thinking those monstrosities are actually attractive.
