I wish I'd run into you sooner. All my favorite pairs of shoes are literally falling apart but I can't find any replacements out there that like half as much. Every single time I see Exene I LOVE her chunky mary janes & all those funky styles she wears. So right off the top of your head, do any brands or websites come to mind? Because I've had very little online luck & there's definitely no stores in these here parts (Huntsville, AL). Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. P.S. Sigh...X, the Knitters, the Blasters.... And in response to the curious Andalucia, Ms. Cervenka is indeed the torchy singer, as well as the inspiring songwriter/poet, long before (and since) the Viggio Mortensen interlude. Please check out this album (and Under the Big Black Sun, Ain't Love Grand..etc.) My love for the Manolo increases - particularly with a throwback to my youthful (underage really) club going.
