<description>My best bargain was a forest green, wool, Herman Kay winter coat. For the last seven years or so, I have worn it almost every day during the winter and for parts of the fall and spring (we're having a cold snap in Virginia, so I wore it at least one day last week and probably will again this week). The price: under $7 when I bought it at Goodwill!

Unfortunately, the coat is beginning to have a few picks and slight fading in areas, and the lining has torn in a few spots. I bought a suede coat for $50, but at present it is only for special occasions -- I am not sure that it will hold up well enough to be an everyday coat.
