If this shoe were for purposes of display only (“Yes! Look at what we can do here in the People’s Revolutionary Shoe Factory!”) the Annalucia would see the point of it. But this shoe, it is for sale apparently. Why? she asks. And why only one? Does China have the gigantic Dufflepuds in need of the lace-up shoe?

It piques my interest that one woman is wearing the every present sandal, while the other is wearing the traditional” Chinese slipper….I thought only American women, with their tastin their collective mouths, wore that slipper.
