  1. Steven Den Beste Says:

He looks like he should have bolts sticking out of his neck.

  2. blackbird Says:

    oof.
I think he needs more cowbell.

  3. Victoria O Says:

Awwww he is MY David Hasselhoff - Please leave him alone!! I love him dearly! A great actor, academy award winner actor, wonderful, smart, funny person.

  4. Verity Kindle Says:

Oh my gosh, he looks horrible. What happened?

  5. Verity Kindle Says:

Love the big hair, though. There goes a very secure man.

  6. Lisa Says:

    I want his mirror.

  7. Robyn Says:

Just a little sun. A little. Say 15 minutes a day, sitting in a chair on the patio, eyes closed with no sunglasses. A little guilt free vitamin D to keep the Specter of Death from looming above.

  8. Cat Says:

Add some pruning shears and he’ll look like Edward Scissorhands, the Golden Years.

  9. Christina Says:

No, I can’t make fun of this–this man looks sick. Not sick=bad, sick=ill. No one would look that way on purpose.

  10. Susanna Says:

Lisa, I want his mirror, too.

  11. Anne Says:

And this, we must remember, is how he makes his living. Not looking fabulous, not even looking normal, but looking absolutely wacky. If he is ill I hope he feels better, but on the whole I would just assume there will be another Dracula movie coming up soon (or something in that vein).

  12. Steven Den Beste Says:

I think he looks better in this picture.

  13. Sharona Says:

I too, adore the Christopher Walken, and fervently hope he is not ill! This is a little over the top even for him. I suspect another Dracula movie…?? I’m with the dear Victoria, but will add to his list of attributes: truly fine dancer. Ahhhh, the Sharona, she does love the Walken!

  14. e Says:

    The undead.

  15. Carol Says:

I’m with Victoria O, you don’t Hassel the Hoff, and you don’t Wank the Walken.

  16. Victoria Says:

He wouldn’t look so pale if he doesn’t wear black or such dark lipstick.

  17. Fausta Says:

Anyone remember the Geriton “Iron-poor blood” ads? Maybe he’s going to be the next Geritol spokesman.

  18. hugh macleod Says:

    1. there’s no way his hair is real.

    2. there is no way he reads englishcut.com

  19. Dani Says:

I always feel a little odd thinking Walken is attractive, since every other actor I like (meaning, I actually know their names) is more conventionally handsome.

But then, I see Steven Den Beste posting on Manolo’s shoe Blog, and I think, “Well, what can be more strange than that?” Perhaps it’s just a convergence of great men all in one tiny speck of the blogosphere.

  20. Phyllis Says:

Steven Den Beste - you took the words right out of my mouth!

  21. La Petite Acadienne Says:

He does not look well. The Christopher Walken, he is only 63, which is not old. I shall fret about him…

  22. Ronikins Says:

He needs to fire his make up artist and his stylist, and then hire Faye Dunaway’s peoples.

  23. Norma Desmond Says:

It’s true that the very wonderful Christopher Walken looks not at all well here, and the Norma is among those who are somewhat concerned for him. But this is also an illustration of how much of a role lighting plays in photography. Glaring, harsh light, which this is, as you can see from the blazing reflection bouncing off the backdrop behind him, washes out color; those who are already pale-complected are rendered ashen and grim. It’s possible that, in a better light, he would be much less of a candidate for a remake of “Nosferatu”.

  24. Cristiane Says:

I guess he is dead but noboby told him!!!!

  25. oino sakai Says:

Maybe there will be a new Star Trek movie and he will portray a Cardassian?

  26. la petite chou chou Says:

Only 63? He truly looks closer to 83. I have always thought he was a weird looking guy but he’s pretty cool. I hope he isn’t sick, cause it sucks to be sick.

  27. WednesdayGirl Says:

Blackbird - I nearly spit out my coffee when I read your comment. Brilliant.

  28. Moira Says:

Like Victoria O, I love him dearly, too. When he was (a lot) younger, he was in a cute PBS romantic movie with Susan Sarandon, where she played a woman who travelled a lot on her job, and never got to date. He played a small town boy who was active in the local town theatre. They end up being in a play together, and they fall in love. He was so cute then! He hadn’t honed his creepy persona which seems to have gotten him so much work. In addition, he’s an incredible hoofer. I will always adore Christopher Walken.

  29. Mark Says:

Aiiieeee! It’s Heat Miser gone old and grey!
