Manolo says, this sandal from the Isaac Mizrahi it would be perfect for wearing to the summery afternoon garden party, perhaps with the nice sun dress.
Even the better, it is on the sale, 55% off of the regular price, the savings of nearly $100 of the American dollars!

They are truly beautiful, and ever so slightly preppy (in that good way, not in that pink-and-green plaid way) but they look so uncomfortable! A thin, hard sole? Like flip-flops without the foam. I think my feets would start hurting after about five minutes.

those look like a pair of glorified flip flops to me

Yup, that’s a pair of flip flops. :(

Well, I’m glad I’m not completely ignorant because my first thought was also “Geez, they look like flip flops to me!” 73 dollar flip flops at that.

Oooh! I love them. But then again, I search the world over for the glorified flip flops. I can’t stand a closed shoe.

To me, flip flops must involve rubber. That is the essence of their tackiness. While I would not wear these because true flats make big feet look even bigger, I think they are darling if one has an itty-bitty foot that would not resemble a barge in these.

Hmmph. They look like $5 K-Mart sandles to me! NOT for anybody over a size 6, that’s for sure! Flawp, flawp, flawp!

They look a little like the Steve Madden sandals. The higher cut at the top may make them available to a lot of folks that can only wear wider shoes. Thanks.

Isaac Mizrahi sandals do not flop! They glide along gracefully without a sound. I don’t own this pair but a very similar pair Manolo linked to last summer, and they are extremely elegant and classy while informal enough for the beach. The footbed has a bit of padding, so they are quite comfortable. I call them my “million-dollar flip-flops” because they fit the flip-flop niche but don’t make me look like a slob.
