I'm sorry Malan was told to go. There has been a lot of nasty speculation about him as well as nasty comments, however, I think he may have some real talent and it's a shame we aren't going to get a chance to see him do more.

Also in agreement with those who think that Michael really has something going for him. So far his work has been so interesting and elegant. Too bad we haven't gotten to see much of him or his work in the episodes to date.

Poor Malan, I assume he will slink back to Grey Gardens and live out his life with Mother and the raccoons.

well yeh Laura, a big-hair pageant gal will always choose the poofy pageant dress.

LOVED Laura and Micheal's as well; awesome dress, fabulous construction, fit, and flow., And flawless and seamless on the runway too - but too plain for a pageant. also think Laura puts too much emphasis on "restrained' - that's not 'pageant' either, and therefore didn't address the client's interest. Uli looks like a one-note, everything so far is similar to both her audition skectches as well as what she herself wears - long, flowy, unconstructed. kinda blah - but pretty yes. but again - not pageant. Plus the top of her design was exactly NOT what Tara wanted - too sloppy & loose, and much too much boobage and cleavage showing; i thought it looked terrible.

Did anyone rally expect someone with hair like Tara's to choose the beautiful classic look provided by Michael and Laura? No, no and no! She needed a Barbie doll outfit to go with her Barbie doll hair and Barbie doll mind. Kayne and Robert did a fine job of giving her exactly what she wanted.

I too will miss Malan. If I were god, both Angela and Vincent would have been thrown out on their whiny asses. They deserved each other.

I didn't care one way or t'other about Malan, but yet again, the Manolo and most of his Internet friends posting above share my opinion that Laura should have won again. The dress was simply gorgeous; clean, simple, elegant, and the model was stunning in it.

Despite The Malan's atrocious dress, Angela should have got the boot. What a useless waste of DNA.

And I agree heartilly with The Manolo about Laura and Michael's gown. Those two are both ones to watch... they both seem to have an aesthetic that understands "the real woman" in the way that Chloe did last year. I'm surprised they're not getting more time on film.

Manolo, I'm surprised you didn't say more about Vera Wang's outfit and that hideous hair. The outfit made her look very frumpy and large and the hair...not sure why she was going for the mistress of feudal warlord of Japan look. The bangs were awful and where were her eyebrows?!
