The Website of the Manolo it Crashed!
Manolo says, Ayyyyyyyy! This afternoon, the servers at the web-hosting company of the Manolo they failed and as the result the Manolo’s humble shoe blog and his email account they were unavailable for many hours.
Happily, everything it now seems to be working again. Many and profuse apologies for the inconveniences this may have caused to the many internet friends of the Manolo.

um, help? I have http://shoeblogs.com/ bookmarked as a favorite, but when I click on that link it goes to the cPanel page. The only way I even got here was to go to an old post and then page my way through the “next posts” – and on this very page, when I click the masthead or the “home” link up top, I still get the cPanel page. I have rebooted my computer and cleared the cache/cookies. I’ve tried every variation of the URL I can think of, but can only get to the blog if I use a direct, per-entry URL. (I can’t get to the blog as a whole, where I could see all the entries, but I can get to each of the individual entries.)
Suggestions? Probably best to email them since it’s a pain in the tuckus to get here.
Maybe Manolo saw the shoes I wore in public yesterday and has kicked me out of his weblog club for being not-super-fantastic…

ahem. Nevermind. A second reboot and cache-clearing did the trick. (And the word I was looking for was “permalink,” not “per-entry.” Panic impedes my vocabulary.)
I have learned my lesson: I promise never to wear those shoes in public again.

The world has gone mad, so one finds valuable humor and wisdom more than ever in visiting Manolo’s fabulous website. The value of the blog to this reader really became evident when the site was down. To quote Dr. Smith of yore, “The pain. The pain.” So very good to see you back in action, esteemed Manolo. Celebrate!

Woof, the married desertwind has not suffered the pain of “He promised he’d call. Why doesn’t he call? I’ll just check to see if his phone is working. It’s not working! Has he left town? Was he hit by a bus? Oh, why doesn’t he call?” in a long, long time.
“Manolo! Oh, how nice of you to call. No, no, I’m not doing anything in particular tonight…”

Oh thank heavens for the explaination! I was almost clawing the monitor with confusion.
